just gonna be a random entry. bored now at 2.07am in the morning of xmas eve. bet everyone is somewhere dreaming of xmas.
fulfilled my monthly craving KFC at bukit timah plaza. went there to stock up on our xmas goodies. went to beauty world to buy some books. think i'll be the only one feeling this way, but although beauty world has changed a bit, cant help but feel nostalgic. always going there when i was small, to buy toys especially. those were the times when lot 1 and westmall didn't even exist. and bukit timah plaza just a new shopping mall in the neighbourhood (but cant remember which came first) haha but the old toy shop is gone, the shop next to macs inside the building. but in case you all didn't know, a lot of the shops were around since/before i was born. like the stationary shop at the bottom floor (used to buy lotsa stickers from there) and the girls accessories shop near the top floor.
my brother seem to have a strange sense of humour. was browsing through the organic food section at ntuc.
me: organic garbabo peas, organic raw wheat, organic black eyed peas bro somewhere in the background: (singing) where is the loveee dots. but must admit that was a lil' funny with him singing there.
oh wells. heard from my brother about a news article he read. its about year end bonuses people get when they work. it reportedly burst the wall street records for year end bonuses. the employees in goldman sacs (a bank) get bonuses from US$600k for normal executives to up to US$53million for CEO. another of his attempt to drag me to aim for the financial sector when i grow up. imagine how much food i can devour with 53million dollars..
ohs! was walking around orchard a few days ago. came across this south american band play yue4 liang4 dai4 biao3 wo3 de3 xin1 with some of their woodwind instrument. must be their traditional instruments. its quite nice actually. and they played a rap-like rendition of the song which is even better! oh mans i just love the sound of woodwind. especially flute. and to think i learnt trumpet instead of flute just because someone told me i'll be better off with trumpet. darns.
christmas presents are grossly overpriced. overheard a conversation with the shop keeper and its patrons. wrap gift cut queue $3. i was stunned. best to do your xmas shopping one month in advance.
christmas eve! wishing everyone a very merry christmas eve. was listening to mp3 just now, suddenly thought that maybe i should have recorded all i want for christmas is you and last christmas instead. oh wells. maybe next year. i'll record a christmas album. =)
